Nicolaos G. Alexopoulos joined the UC Irvine faculty in 1997 as engineering dean and professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, an ISI Highly Cited Author in Computer Science with more than 270 professional journal and conference papers. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and twice recipient of the IEEE Schelkunoff Best Journal Publication Award. He is currently Vice President at Broadcom Foundation.
