Fritz Venter, Founder, and CEO of Computed Future participate in Risk Roundup to discuss Artificial Intelligence driven Cyber-Security.
Artificial Intelligence driven Cyber-Security
As nations: its government, industries, organizations, and academia (NGIOA) aim for broader capabilities beyond geospace and its geographical boundaries, the emerging interconnected and interdependent systems of cyberspace-geospace and space (CGS) are creating complex security challenges that seem to be beyond human intelligence, speed, and capabilities.
The biggest hurdle in managing cyber-security risks is probably the speed of the cyber attacks and the amount of data and its inter-dependencies that must be analyzed in order to be able to respond in real-time. Due to the dynamic nature of the security threats, there is a growing belief that cyber-security or cyber-defense cannot be handled by humans with the current traditional tools that they have and without a considerable level of automation.
As intelligence is key for competition, communication, and collaboration in cyberspace, geospace, and space, it is hoped that the application of processes of artificial intelligence could help to dynamically respond to cyber threats by implementing learning capability in automation software.
While the ability to create autonomous intelligent robots with perception, cognition, and action, able to coexist with humans can be viewed as the ultimate and most challenging goal of artificial intelligence, the immediate priorities are perhaps to secure cyberspace.
Time is now to discuss artificial intelligence-driven cyber-security.
